· Automate Rate Selection: The AI can automatically choose the best available static or dynamic rate for any valid room or car rental product listed in Tourplan. This saves significant time and the best pricing.
· Display Alternatives: Alternatively, the AI can retrieve all relevant rates and present a dropdown of available static and dynamic rates, allowing reservations staff to manually select the preferred option.
· Expand Beyond Static Rates: Previously, AI itineraries were limited to matching static rates within Tourplan. With this upgrade, the system now works seamlessly with dynamic rates, unlocking more flexibility and pricing accuracy.
How It Works: Creating AI itineraries linked to Tourplan
The Rate Choice feature integrates seamlessly into the existing Itinerary Assist AI workflow, ensuring a smooth user experience for Tourplan clients:
Automated Reading of Booking Requests: The AI reads travel agent booking requests, including any attached files.
Draft Itinerary Creation: A draft itinerary is generated, matching products requested by the travel agent with available options in Tourplan.
Smart Rate Handling: If multiple rates exist for the same product, the AI follows predefined client rules to either auto-select the best rate or present all options for staff review.

In this example, AI has automatically matched the ‘Double room’ requested by the agent with ‘Queen studio’ and selected the dynamic rate in line with the AI rule set by this Tourplan user. Dynamic rate options for other room types are shown to the reservation staff member to select from if needed.
